Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Employee & Industrial Relations Manager for Amazon Flex in Australia. The role focuses on representing Amazon Flex before the Fair Work Commission and other regulators, managing case intake, and working with legal and policy teams to mitigate risks and prepare case files.

You will coordinate across internal departments to align on case strategy and ensure compliance with labour laws and platform regulations, contributing to a fair and compliant last-mile operation.

Qualifications

• Experience representing an organisation in Fair Work Commission proceedings in Australia.
• Experience in employee relations, labor relations, human relations or labor/employment law.
• Working knowledge of Australian employment/labour law and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Fair Work Act, Digital Labour Platform Deactivation Code or equivalent gig-economy regulation).

Responsibilities

• Represent Amazon at Fair Work Commission proceedings by clearly articulating the company's position, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with the legal, enforcement, and policy teams to assess and mitigate risks associated with labour disputes, compliance issues, and regulatory changes.
• Gather, organise, and maintain comprehensive case files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
• Identify emerging risks, regulatory trends, and arbitration case outcomes; develop proactive risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor compliance of internal policies relating to the Digital Labour Platform Deactivation Code (DLDP).
