HealthX is recruiting an experienced Emergency Registered Nurse to work across Queensland's Darling Downs region. These short-term contracts offer varied postings in multiple hospitals, with competitive pay and the benefit of travel and accommodation arrangements provided by the agency.

Ideal candidates hold AHPRA RN Division 1, at least 1 year ED experience, ALS and ATS triage competency. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering safe, patient-centred care in busy EDs and support

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registration (RN Division 1).
• Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Demonstrated triage experience using Australasian Triage Scale.
• Ability to recognise and manage deteriorating patients in acute settings.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary emergency teams.

Responsabilités

Emergency Registered Nurse – RN – Multiple Locations | Darling Downs Health

• Up to $71 per hour + super + shift penalties (RN/RM)
• Up to $77 per hour + super + shift penalties (Clinical Nurse)

About the Role

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care across a range of hospital settings within Darling Downs Health. You will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care within busy Emergency Departments, managing diverse patient presentations while supporting positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care across all patient acuity levels
• Perform triage assessments in accordance with the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS)
• Recognise and respond effectively to clinical deterioration and medical emergencies
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within a fast-paced ED environment
• Administer medications and emergency interventions within scope of practice
• Collaborate with medical officers, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Support patient flow, escalation processes, and safe discharge planning
• Promote patient safety and quality standards within emergency services
• Provide support across acute care areas where required

What you'll need
