Job summary

Darling Downs Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Emergency to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, apply advanced clinical judgment, and contribute to safe patient outcomes across the Darling Downs region.

You will be registered with NMBA, possess strong emergency nursing knowledge, and demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Strong emergency nursing knowledge and contemporary clinical practice skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills that support safe, patient-centred care.
  • Commitment to quality, safety and ongoing professional development, with postgraduate emergency qualifications or leadership experience as a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based emergency care to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with nurses, doctors and allied health staff to deliver coordinated care.
  • Apply critical thinking and clinical judgement to assess needs and manage risk.
  • Mentor and support team members to improve performance and skills.
