HealthX is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality emergency care across New South Wales hospitals under short-term travel contracts. You’ll deliver fast, patient-centred nursing in diverse ED settings, with opportunities across metropolitan, regional, rural and coastal communities.

You’ll work on rotations with competitive hourly pay up to $68.49, plus super, penalties and a $1,600 completion bonus, plus travel and accommodation allowances.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
• Minimum one year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification and strong resuscitation and triage skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Australian working rights (these are short-term contract positions and do not offer sponsorship).

Responsabilités

• Deliver comprehensive emergency and acute nursing care.
• Conduct triage, resuscitation and emergency interventions.
• Perform cannulation, venepuncture and medication administration.
• Monitor patients and respond promptly to clinical deterioration using appropriate escalation pathways.
• Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with NSW Health policies and procedures.
• Support safe patient flow, handovers and continuity of care.
• Adapt to different hospital environments, clinical teams and local procedures.

You will deliver safe, effective and patient‑centred care in fast‑paced Emergency Departments, working collaboratively with local clinical teams to support patients across a range of emergency and acute presentations.

• Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) – Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Young, Tumut and surrounding regional communities.
• Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) – Goulburn, Queanbeyan, Bega, Batemans Bay, Cooma and surrounding communities.
• Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) – Lismore, Grafton, Ballina, Byron Bay and surrounding coastal and rural communities.
• Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) – Newcastle, Tamworth, Armidale, Moree and surrounding communities.
• Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) – Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst, Broken Hill and surrounding regional communities.
• Far West Local Health District (FWLHD) – Broken Hill and surrounding remote communities.
• Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) – Wollongong, Shellharbour, Nowra and surrounding coastal communities.

What you’ll need
