Job summary

Proofpoint in Melbourne, Australia is seeking an experienced security professional to lead email-centric threat hunting and detection efforts. You will analyze telemetry, enumerate threats, and translate findings into practical controls for customers.

You will partner with threat research, detection engineering, and product teams to improve protections, deliver clear briefings to technical and executive audiences, and help customers defend data and users from evolving email threats.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of client/professional service or security engineering experience.
• Managed security or consultancy experience is required.
• Knowledge of data communications concepts and technologies, specifically email and networking.
• Experience correlating customer data with security insights.
• Proactive, self-starter with strong communication.
• Experience with Proofpoint products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor support interactions for strategic customers.
• Meet with clients to review status, issues, threats and mitigations.
• Develop understanding of customer business needs.
• Provide guidance on Proofpoint integrations within customer environments.
• Plan and lead process-improvement to improve customer satisfaction.
• Deliver customer-facing threat briefings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal threat research, detection engineering, and product teams to improve protections.
• Translate threat findings into actionable improvements for customers.
