Job summary

SEEK is seeking a Senior Cyber Security/Threat Intelligence professional to join a versatile, security-focused team. The role is based in Melbourne with the option for Sydney or Brisbane, featuring a hybrid working model.

You will lead investigations into security threats, manage insider risk, perform threat hunting, and mentor peers while collaborating with incident response and security operations to protect SEEK's infrastructure and products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cyber security or related field.
• Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills for threat detection.
• Strong experience with threat intel investigations and insider threat management.
• Hands-on technical analysis across endpoints, email filtering, SIEM and log review.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, TTPs and incident response processes.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for peers and executives.
• Curious mindset and willingness to continue learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into internal and external security threats and brief leadership on trends.
• Triage insider risk scenarios and communicate findings to senior leadership.
• Collect and analyse threat intelligence from OSINT and industry groups.
• Maintain intelligence collection requirements based on stakeholder needs.
• Monitor, triage, and elevate security alerts; refine detections with IR/SOC teams.
• Support threat hunting and uplift controls across the organisation.
• Advise on geopolitical matters and international travel security risks.
• Support forensic imaging to aid investigations.
• Develop CTI metrics and identify automation opportunities.
• Establish relationships with industry peers for information sharing.
• Mentor security peers and promote team growth.
