Job summary

Downer in Brisbane seeks an Electrical Project Manager to deliver electrical, communications and mechanical infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle from design to commissioning.

The role reports to the Electrical Regional Manager and requires strong leadership, 5+ years in complex project management within water/construction, and proven safety, quality and subcontractor management abilities. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic Energy & Utilities team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification specialised in Electrical.
• Tertiary qualification in Project Management.
• Leadership qualifications (Frontline Management or the like).
• Minimum 5 years of complex project management experience within the Construction sector, specifically Water.
• Experience in management of safety, quality and environmental issues.
• Sub-contractor management experience.
• Financial management and reporting, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Production & Productivity reporting.
• Proven team management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality electrical, communications and mechanical infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle from design to commissioning.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Electrical Regional Manager, this exciting opportunity for a new Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical, communications, and mechanical infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle from design and construction through to delivery and commissioning.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams across Downer Energy & Utilities.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to major infrastructure projects within a dynamic and supportive environment focused on safety, performance, and operational excellence.
