Job summary

AIC Mines is seeking an experienced Electrical Planner to coordinate electrical maintenance, projects and infrastructure at Eloise Copper Mine near Cloncurry. The role supports surface and underground operations, delivering safe, practical work plans to optimise asset reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical maintenance/planning in mining or heavy industry.
• Surface and underground electrical systems knowledge desirable.
• Understanding of HV/LV electrical systems and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical maintenance plans for surface and underground assets, infrastructure and projects.
• Prepare and maintain rolling short-term and long-term electrical maintenance schedules.
• Plan electrical shutdowns, project works and upgrades including labour, materials and contractor requirements.
• Develop job scopes, work packs, task instructions and resource estimates for planned electrical work.
• Coordinate parts procurement, critical spares and inventory with warehouse and purchasing teams.
• Work with supervisors and operations to prioritise work and manage schedule changes.
• Create, review and manage electrical work orders and preventative maintenance tasks in the CMMS.
• Monitor backlog, downtime and planning performance, identify improvements.
• Ensure planned work integrates HV/LV requirements, isolation, permits and safe work practices.
• Maintain asset/history records for statutory compliance documentation.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Electrical Planner to coordinate the planning and scheduling of electrical maintenance, project and infrastructure activities across Eloise Copper Mine.

Working closely with electrical supervisors, maintenance, operations, projects and warehouse teams, you will develop safe, practical and well-resourced work plans that support equipment reliability, statutory compliance and efficient execution across surface and underground operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical maintenance plans for surface and underground assets, infrastructure and projects
• Prepare and maintain rolling short-term and long-term electrical maintenance schedules
• Plan electrical shutdowns, project works and infrastructure upgrades, including labour, materials, tooling and contractor requirements
• Develop job scopes, work packs, task instructions and resource estimates for planned electrical work
• Coordinate parts procurement, critical spares and inventory requirements with warehouse and purchasing teams
• Work closely with electrical supervisors and operational teams to prioritise work and manage schedule changes
• Create, review and manage electrical work orders and preventative maintenance tasks within the CMMS
• Monitor work completion, backlog, equipment downtime and planning performance, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure planned work incorporates HV/LV requirements, electrical isolation, permits and safe work practices
• Maintain accurate asset, component and maintenance history records and support statutory compliance documentation

About You

• Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance, projects or infrastructure planning within mining or heavy industry
• Experience with both surface and underground electrical systems is highly desirable
• Sound understanding of HV/LV electrical systems, electrical isolation requirements and safe work practices
• Competence in planning and scheduling systems, CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office; Pronto experience is preferred but not essential
• Strong communication, coordination, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Current QLD manual driver's licence
• Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices and the ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and police clearance

Roster & Location

This position is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off FIFO roster from Townsville or Brisbane. Accommodation is provided onsite at Eloise Copper Mine (65km from Cloncurry). Local candidates from Cloncurry or surrounding communities can commute via bus from Cloncurry and are encouraged to apply.
