Job summary

Thiess in North West Queensland is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for the Eva Copper Mine Project to plan and schedule maintenance across our mobile equipment fleet, ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective execution.

The role requires a Mechanical Trade Qualification or Engineering degree, at least 5 years in maintenance planning within mining, and strong OEM knowledge. FIFO/Residential options apply, with opportunities for growth within a global mining services organisation.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Diesel Fitter or similar) or Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance planning role within mining, resources or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of mobile plant maintenance practices and OEM requirements.
• Experience using maintenance planning, scheduling and asset management systems.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance and environmental standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across Maintenance, Mining and Processing teams.
• Experience supporting reliability improvement initiatives and condition monitoring programs.

Responsibilities

The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

The opportunity

Are you a highly organised maintenance planning professional with a passion for equipment reliability and operational excellence? Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Planner to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project.

As a key member of the Eva Copper team, you'll be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities across our mobile equipment fleet, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective maintenance execution to maximise equipment availability and reliability.

As the Maintenance Planner, you will:
