Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support and services across the Queenstown region. The role involves installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of specialized electrical equipment at customer locations, while ensuring customer satisfaction through expert assistance.

The ideal candidate will travel extensively, read electrical schematics, and deliver hands-on support to clients in a dynamic field service environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Electrician or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years in field service or technical support.
• Ability to travel extensively within the Queenstown area.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission electrical equipment and systems at customer sites.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostic testing on electrical machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Provide technical training and support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Document all service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional conduct and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Queenstown area and surrounding regions.
