Job summary

Bayside Group, partnering with a global engineering consultancy, is recruiting an Associate Electrical Engineer to lead technical delivery across utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems, wind farms and HV infrastructure in Australia.

You will provide independent engineering, due diligence, and Owner’s Engineer services from concept through commissioning, mentoring engineers and engaging with clients to shape project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
• RPEV registration and/or CPEng status (Engineers Australia).
• Extensive experience across utility-scale BESS, renewables, HV substations or power infrastructure.
• Proven TDD and/or Owner’s Engineer delivery background.
• Strong primary electrical design knowledge and confidence leading complex technical conversations.
• Excellent technical reporting and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical reviews and design delivery across BESS, renewables and HV substations.
• Deliver Technical Due Diligence (TDD) for lenders, investors and developers.
• Provide Owner’s Engineer support across delivery and commissioning phases.
• Review EPC/OEM designs, specifications and commissioning documentation.
• Manage scope, budgets, resourcing and technical risk on projects.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to proposals and client engagement.
