Job summary

CitiPower and Powercor is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to deliver detailed design, scoping and estimation for distribution, sub-transmission and substation projects. The role includes minor survey work and asset management to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Based in Bendigo, the position is part of a broader enterprise agreement with salary pay points 20–24, plus superannuation and allowances. A strong emphasis on safety, GIS and AutoCAD skills is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) required.
• Eligible and working towards NER or RPEng registration.
• Familiar with Safety in Design practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design and advice for underground lines, overhead lines and substations per standards.
• Verify designs against Safety in Design guidelines and company requirements.
• Assist in developing design standards and policy in line with regulatory needs.
• Apply drafting techniques for substation, overhead and distribution plans.
• Prepare cost and resource estimates for design components in a timely manner.
• Support new or modified processes and systems.
• Mentor design personnel in design concepts and management.
• Consider commercial implications to maximise project margins.
