Job summary

CitiPower and Powercor is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to deliver engineering design across distribution, sub-transmission and substations. You will also conduct minor surveys, asset recording and contribute to asset management in compliance with policies and standards.

The role operates under the Powercor & CitiPower & ASU, PA UWU Enterprise Agreement. Salary range Pay Point 20–24 plus 13% super and allowances is offered, with hybrid working options and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree required.
Experience with Distribution Design principles and procedures.
Knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD design.

Responsibilities

Provide effective engineering design and advice for underground lines, overhead lines and substations up to standard guidelines.
Verify designs produced by others against standards and safety requirements.
Assist with developing design standards and policy in line with regulatory requirements.
Apply drafting techniques to produce substation and distribution plans.
Prepare cost and resource estimates for design components in a timely manner.
Support and implement new or modified processes and systems.
Provide technical mentoring to design personnel in Design and Design management.
Consider commercial implications to maximise profit margins.
