Job summary

CitiPower and Powercor in Victoria is seeking an experienced Substation Electrician to join the Bendigo depot. The role focuses on frontline execution of maintenance, installation and enhancements of electrical plant infrastructure, with emphasis on safety and reliable service.

You will perform testing, fault-finding and repairs on transformers, switchgear and control equipment, work with HV assets, and operate site equipment.

Qualifications

• HV distribution network knowledge required.
• Practical knowledge of metering and communications installation, testing and maintenance.
• Proven ability to work in a team and communicate with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to use data transfer systems for field information.
• Commitment to safe working environment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, fault-find, repair and test primary and secondary substation equipment.
• Conduct electrical asset testing and write maintenance reports.
• Diagnose faults and apply repairs in substation environments.
• Operate test equipment and specialized tools as required.
• Follow safe work practices and standards in all activities.
