Job summary

Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Regional Health and Community Services (Katungul) is seeking an Elder Care Support Coordinator to lead a small team delivering advocacy and care to Elders. You will navigate My Aged Care processes, coordinate assessments, and ensure culturally safe planning and support for families and carers in the Bega Valley region.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and a commitment to Aboriginal communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or related community services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with Aboriginal communities.
• Financial management and budgeting experience.
• Staff leadership and team development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Elder Care Support Team day-to-day operations.
• Guide clients through the aged care assessment process and develop support plans.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and WH&S standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including families, carers and service providers.
• Oversee client assessments and care plan delivery and satisfaction.
• Lead onboarding/offboarding and staff development activities.
• Manage administrative duties and reporting to leadership.
• Track budgets and report performance to the governance body.
• Travel as required to meet program objectives.
• Support a culturally safe workplace for Aboriginal employees and clients.
