Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare – Sydney Southern Suburbs NSW is seeking casual Educators to join Regents Park OSHC, located at St Bernardine’s Catholic Primary School. You’ll help create a safe, playful environment where children learn, laugh and thrive after school, with support from an experienced team.

The role emphasises building relationships, promoting wellbeing and development through engaging activities, excursions and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA-approved qualification) preferred but not essential.
• Completion of mandatory National Child Training (Geckko) or willingness to complete.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for working with children in a play-based setting.
• Previous OSHC or similar experience is desirable.

Located within the beautiful grounds of St Bernardine’s Catholic Primary School, our OSHC service has been proudly supporting local children and families for more than 20 years.

We’re looking for enthusiastic Casual Educators who want to make a real difference while having plenty of fun along the way! What makes our service special? At Regents Park OSHC, no two days are the same! Our children have opportunities to:

• Explore our outdoor spaces, gardens and productive garden areas
• Get creative with arts, crafts and loose-parts play
• Make the most of our school oval, hall and outdoor play areas
• Grow, harvest and enjoy ingredients from our very own gardens
• Follow their interests and take the lead in their learning
• Build friendships, confidence and independence
• Try new experiences and discover what they’re capable of

We support up to 130 children each day, with a welcoming and experienced team who genuinely care about creating a positive experience for every child.

What you'll be doing As a Casual Educator, you'll help create a place where children feel safe, included, heard and excited to come each day.

Who are we looking for? You don't need to have all the answers — we're looking for someone who brings the right attitude and genuine passion for working with children.

Job Requirements:

• A Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services (or other ACECQA-approved qualification) is desirable but not essential.
• Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
• A current QueenslandBlue Card(Working with Children Check)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A passion for working with children and contributing to their growth in a play-based setting
• Previous experience in OSHC or a similar environment (desirable)
