Job summary

St Elizabeth’s OSHC, located within St Elizabeth’s Primary School in Tarragindi, Brisbane, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Casual Educators to join our team. We offer care before school, after school and vacation care, caring for up to 135 children in a safe, welcoming environment.

No experience required; Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services, or working towards a relevant qualification, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services, or working towards a qualification, or an equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA (desirable but not essential)
• A current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• A genuine passion for working with school-aged children in a play-based environment
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A positive, energetic and team-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing care and genuine support to children
• Create a safe, secure and welcoming environment where every child feels included
• Plan and facilitate fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities
• Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and your team
• Work collaboratively with your colleagues to provide high-quality experiences for children
