Job summary

Good Shepherd LDC in Springfield Lakes is seeking an Educator (certification in progress welcomed) to deliver play-based learning experiences that nurture wellbeing and curiosity. Join a warm, inclusive Catholic Early EdCare setting within the school grounds and be part of a caring team dedicated to children's growth.

The role demands current certificates, Blue Card, and commitment to ongoing professional development; casual shifts offer flexible hours within CEEC’s network.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or ACECQA approved equivalent
• Blue Card (Working with Children Check) required
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• Knowledge of childcare industry practices and quality frameworks
• Passion for education and care of children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten in a play-based environment
• Effective workplace communication skills

Job Requirements:

• Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or an ACECQA approved equivalent
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• Knowledge and understanding of childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks
• A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten age in a play-based learning environment
• Effective workplace communication skills
