Job summary

Good Shepherd LDC Springfield Lakes is looking for a casual Educator to inspire children within a nature-rich centre located on the grounds of Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School. Join a warm, inclusive team delivering play-based learning and nurture creativity, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

You will hold or be working towards a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services, possess a Queensland Blue Card, and maintain current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis

Qualifications

• Qualified Educator or actively working towards one.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain).
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2; Courses 3 & 4 are optional but valued.
• Knowledge of childcare industry practices including regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

• Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or an ACECQA approved equivalent
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• Knowledge and understanding of childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks
• A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten age in a play-based learning environment
• Effective workplace communication skills
