Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare’s Star of the Sea LDC in Cleveland is seeking enthusiastic casual Educators with Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care to nurture children ages 6 weeks to Kindergarten. You will join a supportive team in a community-focused service.

We value safety with Blue Card, First Aid and ongoing professional learning. Flexible casual shifts across our 130+ CEEC services offer work-life balance and childcare discounts.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is essential.
• Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) in Queensland.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications current (or willingness to obtain).
• Geccko Child Protection Course 1 & 2 completed (Course 3 & 4 optional).

We're currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated casual Educators, both Certificate III and Diploma qualified, who are committed to helping children thrive during their early years.

What You'll Do:

• Create engaging, play-based recreational and educational experiences that support children's wellbeing
• Provide a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for all children
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver the best outcomes for children and families
• Build strong connections with families, educators, and the wider community
• Be an active part of Catholic Early EdCare's professional learning culture, with opportunities for ongoing growth and development

What We're Looking For:

• Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA approved equivalent — essential for this role
• A current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• A genuine passion for play-based learning and supporting children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten age
• Effective workplace communication skills
