Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare's Jubilee OSHC service at Jubilee Primary School, Pacific Pines, seeks enthusiastic OSHC Educators to support before/after school and vacation care for up to 150 children. Casual shifts, energetic team, safe and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include nurturing wellbeing, maintaining safety, creating engaging activities, building relationships with children and families, and supporting excursions during Vacation Care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services or willingness to study.
• Blue Card (Working with Children) in Queensland or willingness to obtain.
• Understanding of play-based learning and safety expectations.

Our Service

Jubilee Primary School Outside School Hours Care is part of the Jubilee Primary School and St Mary’s Catholic Parish community. We provide Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care for up to 150 children. Our service offers a flexible, child-initiated program that embraces children’s ideas, cultures, and interests, creating an environment where every child feels included, supported, and encouraged to thrive. We’re looking for enthusiastic and energetic educators who are passionate about supporting primary school-aged children to learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.

Hours

Casual – varied shifts available.

Job Requirements

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services, or willingness to work towards a qualification, is desirable but not essential. Equivalent qualifications recognised by ACECQA are also welcome.


• Completion of mandatory National Child Training via Geckko, or willingness to complete it before commencing employment.


• A current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).


• A genuine passion for working with school-aged children in a play-based environment.


• An understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place, the Early Years Learning Framework, and relevant legislation, or a willingness to learn.


• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
