Job summary

The NSW Department of Education is the largest provider of public education in Australia, delivering high-quality education to two-thirds of NSW students. The Customer Service Officer role supports information on apprenticeships, traineeships and vocational education, providing clerical support to the Regional Centre in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements.

Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment screening including a National Criminal History Check. Closing date: 16 November.

Qualifications

Strong customer service ethic and collaborative approach.
Ability to follow policies, procedures and guidelines with sound judgement.
Escalate complex or sensitive matters to a supervisor to support appropriate decision-making.
High attention to detail.
Knowledge of Vocational Education and Training (VET) is desirable.

Responsibilities

The Customer Service Officer assists with the provision of general information on apprenticeships, traineeships and vocational education and training programs and services, to customers and members of the public and provides clerical and administrative support to the Regional Centre.
