Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice seeks an Education Support Officer to deliver distance education support across correctional centres. You will manage records, coordinate with partners, and assist inmates with study requirements while maintaining accurate participation data.

This ongoing full-time role offers competitive pay, environmental allowances, superannuation and leave loading, with locations across NSW, including Hunter, Sydney Metro and South Coast regions.

Qualifications

• Essential requirements include administration experience supporting project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver administrative tasks for distance education, including records management, maintaining registers, preparing manuals, correspondence, and reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support coordination and delivery of distance education programs.
• Work directly with inmates to manage and facilitate individual study requirements and provide information and resources.
• Maintain accurate records of offender engagement and participation.
• Assist with reporting processes by collating and interpreting data and improving reporting systems.
• Disseminate information to inmates to support distance education development and implementation.
• Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally and refer inquiries as required.
• Participate in centre-based activities that enhance delivery of distance education initiatives.
• Respond to incoming inquiries (phone or in person) with information and referrals.
