Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) invites an experienced Early Childhood Educator to lead the Nursery room in a brand new 62-place centre in Matraville, NSW. This full-time permanent role offers an impactful career path in a not-for-profit Catholic community.

You’ll deliver high-quality curriculum for ages 0–6, build strong relationships with families and team members, and actively support our Catholic identity while promoting wellbeing and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate III in ECE required.
• Current First Aid Certificate ACECQA- approved.
• Working with Children Check required.
• Mandatory GECCKO child safety training completed.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality curriculum responsive to children’s strengths and interests.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with children, families and team.
• Support the organisation’s Catholic identity, policies and procedures.
• Provide supportive environment and plan for a nursery program.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing through child protection practices.

As a qualified Early Childhood Educator, you'll play a pivotal role in the growth and development of children aged 0-6.

To Be Considered, You Must Have:

• Early Childhood Diploma Approved Qualification or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Current First Aid Certificate Approved by ACECQA: Includes applying first aid, emergency asthma management, and anaphylaxis.
• Identify & Respond to Children at Risk of Harm Certificate
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Completed the mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO. Register GECCKO
• Practical Knowledge: Understanding of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
