Job summary

First Steps in Gatton QLD is seeking a Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator and an ECT to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. You will provide high-quality care and education, planning engaging programmes to support children's development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children certifications.

Job description

First Steps is seeking an experienced Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator & an ECT to join our team in Gatton QLD 4343 on a permanent part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our early learning centre, ensuring their developmental and wellbeing needs are met.

What you'll be doing

• Planning and implementing engaging learning programmes that foster children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development
• Providing a nurturing, safe and inclusive environment for children to learn and play
• Observing and documenting children's progress, and communicating with families about their child's development
• Adhering to all relevant childcare regulations and centre policies to maintain compliance
• Collaborating with the wider team to deliver a cohesive, high-quality early learning experience
• Actively participating in professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills

What we're looking for

• Experience working as an Early Childhood Educator
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children and families
• A genuine passion for helping young children learn and thrive
• Commitment to promoting inclusive, play-based learning
• Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children certifications
