Job summary

Goodstart Rockhampton is seeking a Casual Educator to support our 75-place centre with flexible shifts across Monday to Friday between 6.30am and 6.30pm. The role offers above award wages and a casual leave loading, with opportunities to travel between local services.

You will contribute to the education program, supervise children, and uphold safety and inclusivity, aligned with EYLF and NQS. Queensland WWCC required; travel across local sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Actively contributing to the education program in the room and the centre team.
• Engaging and supervising the children at all times.
• Maintaining a safe environment for children, families and team members.
• Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with children and families.
• Complying with National Quality Standards and Goodstart policies and procedures.
• Supporting a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement.

Employment Type: Casual shifts Monday to Friday between 6.30am and 6.30pm
Pay: $ 40.93 - $46.10 per hour

You’ll need:

• willing to travel between other local services and will have flexible availability between Monday-Friday, 6.30am and 6.30pm
