Job summary

SDN Children’s Services in Waterloo, NSW is seeking an Educator to deliver high-quality, inclusive early learning programs. You will build meaningful relationships with children and families, embrace diverse needs, and work in a conveniently located centre just minutes from public transport.

The role involves nurturing relationships, guiding behaviour, supporting routines, and observing and documenting learning to support children's development.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is required.
• Solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Knowledge of the National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Working with Children Check and current Senior First Aid certification.
• Sound understanding of child development, health, hygiene and nutrition.
• Child protection training and commitment to child safety.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build nurturing, positive relationships with children and support emotional wellbeing.
• Guide positive behaviour and promote independence and decision making.
• Create engaging, inclusive environments across development areas.
• Support daily routines including meals, toileting, and individual needs.
• Observe, document and support children's learning and healthy habits.
