Job summary

APA Group in Young, NSW is offering an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician Apprentice in a full-time permanent role close to home. The four-to-six year apprenticeship combines hands-on trade work with formal training, giving you the chance to learn from experienced technicans while contributing to essential energy infrastructure.

You’ll gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and Instrumentation, with fully funded TAFE, tools provided, and

Responsibilities

• Assist with planned and reactive maintenance across the region
• Learn to service, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment
• Support electrical and instrumentation work under guidance of qualified team members
• Monitor the performance and operation of critical assets through routine inspections
• Assist with equipment upgrades, replacements and improvement projects
• Maintain easements and site facilities to a high standard
• Attend TAFE and successfully completing apprenticeship coursework
• Contribute to preventative and corrective maintenance activities
• Support job preparation, including organising tools, parts and documentation
• Assist with the review and improvement of operational procedures and documentation
• Work safely and help protect teammates, community and environment
