Job summary

Berkley Insurance Australia (a Berkley Company) is seeking an E-business Underwriting Assistant to provide administrative and first-level broker support across our online portal business. You will liaise with underwriters, product leads, IT, brokers and buyer groups to ensure smooth operations and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Essential: HSC
• Minimum 1+ years admin or retail customer facing experience
• Excellent communication skills with outstanding telephone call handling capability
• Ability to handle high volume workload
• Ability to identify and describe technical issues
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and first-level broker support for E-Business platforms, including bindIT and SCTP.
• Manage broker portal registrations, user access requests, transfers, and account maintenance.
• Respond to broker and stakeholder enquiries via phone, email, and portal mailboxes.
• Support lead management activities, including follow-up and conversion of qualified opportunities.
• Maintain broker, portal, and allocation data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Produce policy documentation, reports, and other business correspondence as required.
• Coordinate transfer processing and broker migration activities.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high levels of customer service.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support system enhancements, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives across E-Business platforms.
• Work collaboratively with the E-Business team to drive adoption and optimisation of digital trading solutions.
