Job summary

Linfox Intermodal is seeking a Transport Allocator to join our team in East Arm, Darwin. In this fast‑paced, safety‑conscious role you will coordinate daily freight allocations, liaise with drivers and subcontractors, and ensure on‑time, compliant deliveries.

You will use transport management systems and Excel to monitor fleet utilisation, support operational performance, and escalate incidents. A strong track record in logistics, CoR knowledge, and a solutions‑focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport allocation, scheduling or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with transport management systems and Excel.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service mindset and continuous improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily freight allocations, collections, deliveries and changeovers to meet customer requirements safely and efficiently.
• Communicate with drivers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure transport activities meet safety and compliance requirements.
• Monitor fleet utilisation and provide real-time support to maximise service delivery and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with CoR, fatigue management, maintenance schedules and contractor requirements.
• Maintain accurate transport data, records and reporting for visibility and performance.
• Escalate service and safety incidents and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
