Job summary

Linfox Laverton North is seeking an Intermodal Operations Coordinator to manage linehaul and changeover movements across our interstate network. You will work with drivers, planners and customers to balance capacity, service levels and safety in real time.

Based in Laverton North, this full-time role runs Monday to Friday, starting at 10:00am and ending at 6:00pm. You will contribute to continuous improvement and fleet optimization across Australia’s largest intermodal network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an operational role within transport/logistics.
• Experience allocating, scheduling or planning.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, Heavy Vehicle regulations and Fatigue Management.
• Excellent communication with drivers and customers.
• Safety focused and results-driven.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate linehaul and changeover movements across drivers and fleet to meet customer and operational requirements.
• Build strong relationships with drivers and customers through timely updates and proactive communication.
• Resolve service disruptions and customer escalations with practical transport solutions and recovery plans.
• Maintain transport schedules, allocation boards, load sheets and customer portal bookings.
• Monitor transport safety, compliance and operational KPIs, including fatigue management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service performance and fleet efficiency.
