Job summary

Sharks Leagues Club is seeking a Functions & Events Coordinator to manage enquiries, plan and deliver a range of events from corporate functions to member days. You’ll work across dedicated function rooms and spaces, coordinating catering, AV, staffing and layouts while maintaining strong client communication.

You will be on the floor during events, ensuring smooth service, post-event follow-up and successful delivery of high-quality Sharks experiences, including game days and activations.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating functions or events from enquiry to delivery.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming function and event enquiries and assist clients with packages, spaces and event requirements.
• Coordinate functions from booking and planning through to event delivery and post-event follow-up.
• Prepare quotes, booking documentation, function sheets, event orders and run sheets.
• Coordinate room layouts, catering, beverages, AV, entertainment, staffing and other event requirements.
• Build strong relationships with clients and provide friendly, professional communication throughout their event journey.
• Follow up enquiries and help convert opportunities into confirmed bookings.
• Support the planning and delivery of Club events, member events, promotions, seasonal celebrations and major activations.
• Liaise with Catering, Marketing, Club Operations, Security, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Be hands-on during functions and events, helping coordinate staff, service flow, room presentation and operational requirements.
• Conduct staff briefings and provide on-the-job direction to Functions staff.
• Help ensure our functions and events consistently deliver a high-quality Sharks experience.
• Be involved in key events and Sharks game days as required.
