Hilton Surfers Paradise is seeking a dedicated Duty Technician to maintain the hotel and residential facilities. You will operate on a rotating roster across mornings, afternoons, weekdays and weekends, handling preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and rapid responses to guest and resident requests.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and energy conservation, with opportunities for extensive Hilton training through Hilton University and career development pathways.

Formación

• Experience in hotel, resort, residential, commercial, or facilities maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of building maintenance practices and fault finding.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and workplace safety.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and residential facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults relating to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and mechanical systems within licence limitations.
• Maintain and repair guest room fixtures, fittings, furniture, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Assist with operation and monitoring of building plant and equipment.
• Complete maintenance records and work orders using hotel systems.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and WHS requirements.
• Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
• Participate in special projects, refurbishments, and hotel improvement works as required.

What will I be doing?

As a Duty Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining Hilton Surfers Paradise's hotel and residential facilities to the highest standards. Working across a rotating roster of mornings, afternoons, weekdays and weekends, you will perform preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and respond to maintenance requests to ensure a safe, comfortable, and exceptional experience for our guests, residents, and team members.
