Dorsett Gold Coast is seeking a hands-on Handyperson to support the hotel's maintenance team. You’ll assist with general maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces, learning from the Building Manager and Maintenance Team Leader.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on maintenance tasks across hotel facilities within competency.

Responsabilités

• Assist with general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests and help resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements.
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and furniture repairs within your level of competency.
• Support preventative maintenance of plant, equipment and building facilities.
• Log and track maintenance requests and completed work using our maintenance management system, Optii.
• Assist with contractor access and coordination as required.
• Help maintain stock levels of maintenance supplies, tools and equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with WHS requirements and hotel procedures.
• Keep maintenance areas clean, safe and organised.

Dorsett Gold Coast is a stylish and contemporary hotel located in the vibrant heart of the Gold Coast. With 313 rooms, modern facilities and a busy guest environment, no two days are the same. Our Maintenance team plays an important role in keeping the hotel safe, functional and looking its best for our guests and team.

About the Role

As a Handyperson at Dorsett Gold Coast, you'll assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of our hotel facilities, guest rooms and public areas.

This is an entry-level, hands-on role where you'll work alongside our Building Manager and Maintenance Team Leader, learning the ropes and getting involved in a variety of maintenance tasks and general repairs. No formal trade qualification or extensive hotel maintenance experience is required. We're more interested in your practical skills, willingness to learn and can-do attitude!

Key Responsibilities
