Job summary

The Maylands Hotel in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs is part of Matthews Hospitality Group, known for a warm, local feel and award-winning venues. We seek a Duty Manager to lead shifts across bar, gaming, and floor operations, ensuring safe, high-standard service and coaching the team.

You’ll manage service flow, develop staff, and maintain presentation standards while supporting the Venue Manager and department heads.

Qualifications

• RSA & RP Badge (Essential)
• RSG 1 (Essential) *Support in Gaming Room required
• RSG 2 & 3 (Highly regarded)
• Previous experience as a Duty Manager or senior hospitality role
• Strong knowledge of operations and exceptional customer service standards

Responsibilities

• Leading shifts across bar, gaming, and floor operations
• Delivering exceptional customer experiences and setting the tone on shift
• Ensuring compliance with gaming, liquor licensing, and venue procedures
• Coaching, supporting, and developing team members

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Duty Manager to join our leadership team.

This hands-on role will have you leading shifts, supporting your team, and ensuring the venue runs smoothly, safe, and to a high standard.

You’ll be:

• Leading shifts across bar, gaming, and floor operations

Availability: Flexible across a 7-day roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Base salary of $79,521.
