Job summary

Hotel Renmark is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our team. This hands-on role covers bar and gaming areas, requiring confident leadership and a customer‑focused approach.

You will oversee day‑to‑day operations, coordinate staff across departments and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for patrons. RSA, RSG 1 and RSG 2 certifications are required, with a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Solid hospitality experience, particularly within bar and/or gaming environments.
• Previous supervisory or Duty Manager experience.
• RSA certification (SA).
• RSG level 1 certification.
• RSG level 2 certification.

Responsibilities

Duty Manager | Hotel Renmark | 30 + Hours

Hotel Renmark is looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our team.

We’re seeking a confident, reliable and hands‑on hospitality professional who is comfortable working across different areas of the hotel. This is a varied role incorporating Duty Manager, bar attendant and gaming attendant responsibilities.

The successful applicant will be someone who enjoys being part of the day‑to‑day operation, delivers great customer service and demonstrates strong leadership skills.

About the Role

As part of the role, you will:

Work across multiple areas of the venue, providing friendly, professional and efficient service while supporting daily operations.

Oversee venue‑wide operations, making informed decisions and coordinating staff across departments to ensure a safe, efficient and enjoyable experience for patrons.

Provide clear direction to staff, uphold operational standards and address performance or service issues as they arise.

Lead by example and maintain high standards of customer service, presentation and professionalism.

Monitor patron behaviour and confidently manage incidents or challenging situations when required.

Ensure responsible service of alcohol, responsible gambling practices and venue procedures are consistently followed.

Provide hands‑on assistance to team members across all departments, stepping in wherever support is needed to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

Complete relevant opening and closing procedures, cash handling and operational reporting accurately and in accordance with venue requirements.

Respond to customer enquiries, resolve complaints and ensure a positive experience for our patrons.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

Has solid hospitality experience, particularly within bar and/or gaming environments.

Has previous supervisory or Duty Manager experience, or is ready to take the next step into greater responsibility.

Is proficient in TAB, Lotteries and Keno operations.

Demonstrates confident leadership, sound decision‑making skills and the ability to provide clear direction to staff.

Has strong customer service and communication skills.

Is adaptable, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities in a busy, multi‑department hospitality environment.

Is reliable, professional and works well both independently and as part of a team.

Is willing to learn, develop their skills and take on additional responsibility.

Is flexible and available to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Current South Australian RSA certification.

Current Responsible Gambling (RSG 1) certification.

Current Advanced Responsible Gambling (RSG 2) certification.
