Job summary

Mango Hill Tavern, part of Australian Venue Co., is seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to join our leadership team in Mango Hill. You’ll lead daily operations across dining, sports bar and functions, delivering outstanding guest experiences and driving service standards.

You will coach and develop the front-of-house team, manage labour and rosters, oversee cash handling and reporting, and support ongoing venue improvements while working closely with the Venue Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience as Duty Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong passion for hospitality and frontline leadership.
• Solid cash handling and revenue reporting knowledge.
• Experience with labour management and rostering.
• Strong F&B operations experience across venues.
• Excellent communication to inspire a team.
• RSA & RSG certificates (RMLV encouraged).

Located in the heart of Mango Hill, our recently renovated venue is a favourite with locals, featuring a vibrant bistro, spacious sports bar, gaming room, sweeping alfresco deck, family-friendly play area and a thriving functions business. With live entertainment, major sporting events and private functions, no two days are the same. What You'll Be Doing

• Leading day-to-day venue operations across food, beverage, gaming and functions.
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards.

• Previous experience in a Duty Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong food, beverage and functions experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Sound understanding of cash handling, revenue reporting and venue operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and confidence in resolving guest concerns.
• Effective labour management and rostering experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Current RSA & RSG certificates (RMLV highly regarded or willingness to obtain).
