Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney is seeking a motivated Duty Manager to oversee hotel operations in the absence of senior management. You will support Front Office duties, staff inductions, and guest services to ensure a smooth stay from arrival to departure.

The role requires a Diploma in Hospitality Management and at least one year in hotel management, including night audit and reservations. You will lead with exceptional communication, financial awareness, and the ability to multi-task while

Responsibilities

We currently have a fantastic and challenging career opportunity for a motivated Duty Manager to join our 5 Star Hotel. You will be responsible for the entire hotel operations in the absence of senior management. You will provide assistance in all hotel operations, in addition to providing support and training in all Front Office related areas within the hotel. You will be responsible for creating "It's a Pleasure..." attitude for the guest satisfaction by assisting them with all aspects of their stay from their arrival to their departure as well as related administrative duties.

This is a perfect role for a Night Manager, Asst. Night Manager, Front Office Team Leader or a Supervisor who is eager to work towards a career in Hotel Management and keen to join a fun and dynamic team.

The position requires fulfilling the following duties but not limited:

• Ensure the hotel is operating efficiently and according to hotel policy
• Attend to all guest queries in a professional and polite manner and ability to handle guest requests according.
• Liaise with Food and Beverage Manager to arrange all group meals and meeting the needs of any dietary requirements of the groups.
• Liaise with Housekeeping department to arrange the appropriate and correct bedding configuration for the groups arriving at the hotel for accommodation.
• Train new staff members, providing inductions of the property and making them familiar with the Hotel policy and procedures.
• Forecast hotel occupancy & rates and analyse booking trends and make rate opportunity recommendations to senior managers to maximise hotel revenue.
• Arrange accommodation for guests travelling to other destinations if required
• Assist with special requests, information, restaurant and airline reservations and any other reasonable requirements.
• Handle all guest grievances and enquiries in a courteous, efficient and satisfactory manner.
• Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
• Ensure all guest history records are accurately maintained.
• Promote guest relations by conducting regular lobby walks, talking to guests and encouraging feedback.
• Monitor daily arrivals ensuring all special requests are actioned.
• Ensure great work ethics an all required laws and policies are adhered with.

The successful candidate needs to possess the following experience and skills:

• At least a Diploma in Hospitality Management
• Minimum one year of experience in general hotel management, including night audit and reservations.
• As the first point of contact for the hotel, you are totally service driven.
• You possess exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
• You have sound financial capabilities.
• The ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
• Ability to Identify new revenue opportunities
• Challenge and influence hotel to improve service level and operational standards
• Coach and mentor team members for professional development and career progression
• Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge of OPERA CLOUD PMS
• Flexible to work on a 7-day rotating roster
• RSA & First Aid Certificate
