Job summary

Waymark Hotels' The Coolangatta Hotel invites a dedicated Duty Manager to lead guest service across bar, restaurant and accommodation. This full-time role focuses on delivering exceptional experiences and smooth day-to-day operations.

You will manage reservations, staff, reporting, and functions, while ensuring compliance with licensing, health and safety, and budget targets. A strong leader with hospitality experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Approved Manager License, RMLV, RSA, RSG and CLO (or willing to obtain)
• Experience managing teams in a hospitality environment
• Strong leadership, training, and communication skills
• Availability to work hospitality hours
• Ability to manage conflict and remain calm under pressure
• Experience in a high-volume food, bar, function, gaming, and retail environment
• Applicants should have formal qualifications and at least 1 year of relevant employment experience or, in the absence of formal qualifications, have at least 3 years of relevant employment experience

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee restaurant reservations and bookings.
• Ensure administrative controls and business reporting comply with company policies and procedures.
• Undertake the planning and organizing of special functions.
• Select, train and supervise wait staff, kitchen staff and all other personnel on site.
• Support the Management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of service in our bar, restaurant, and accommodation.
• Be the point of contact for guest inquiries, ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience, from check-in to checkout.
• Assist in managing stock, scheduling, and staff performance while maintaining efficient operations and adhering to budget targets.
• Assist in ensuring the venue adheres to health and safety guidelines, licensing laws, and all regulatory requirements.
