Job summary

Crystalbrook Sam in Adelaide is launching its stores and inventory operations, seeking a Stores Assistant to join the pre-opening team. You will help establish efficient storerooms, manage deliveries and stock, and support culinary, food and beverage, and operational teams to keep guest experiences seamless.

You are organised, detail-oriented and comfortable with stock systems, rotations, and manual handling.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, receiving, inventory, warehousing or similar operational environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfort using computer systems to manage stock and records
• Understanding of stock rotation, inventory control and safe storage practices
• Ability to undertake physical requirements of a hands-on stores role including manual handling
• Proactive, independent work style with collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and record deliveries accurately
• Store goods safely and according to hotel standards
• Maintain stock records and assist with stocktakes
• Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment
• Coordinate stock requests and distribution across departments
• Check deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies
• Keep storerooms clean, organised and accessible
• Support food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
• Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of stores operations

Job description

A new chapter of responsible luxury is coming to Adelaide, and we are looking for a Stores Assistant to join the pre-opening team at Crystalbrook Sam.

As our Stores Assistant, you will play an essential role in the daily operations of our hotel, ensuring our teams have the supplies, products and equipment they need to deliver memorable guest experiences.

From managing deliveries and maintaining stock levels to supporting our culinary, food and beverage, and operational teams, you will be at the heart of the action.

The Role:

Working collaboratively across Crystalbrook Sam, you will help establish and maintain efficient stores and inventory operations from the very beginning.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving, checking and accurately recording incoming deliveries
• Ensuring goods are stored safely, securely and in accordance with hotel standards
• Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting regular stocktakes
• Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with stock replenishment
• Coordinating stock requests and distribution across hotel departments
• Checking deliveries against purchase orders and reporting any discrepancies
• Maintaining clean, organised and accessible storerooms
• Supporting appropriate food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards
• Building positive working relationships with suppliers and our internal teams
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline our stores operations

About You:

You are naturally organised, enjoy working with people and understand that the smallest details can make the biggest difference.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Previous experience in stores, receiving, inventory, warehousing or a similar operational environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confidence using computer systems to manage stock and records
• An understanding of stock rotation, inventory control and safe storage practices
• The ability to undertake the physical requirements of a hands-on stores role, including manual handling
• A proactive approach and the confidence to work independently when required
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues across departments
• Availability to work full time across a 7-day roster which may include weekends and public holidays

Experience within hospitality, hotels or food and beverage operations would be welcomed, but we are equally interested in individuals from other industries who bring the right attitude, transferable skills and enthusiasm to learn.
