Job summary

Cleanaway is Australia's largest waste management company providing sustainable solutions across councils, businesses and government. A Port Douglas depot is seeking an HR Driver to operate a waste collection vehicle and service customers in the region.

The role is permanent full-time with 4:45–5:45 am starts and Sunday-to-Thursday shifts. You'll join a safety-driven team with induction, training and uniforms provided, plus benefits including staff discounts and health programs.

Qualifications

• HR Licence is required.
• Available for 4.45–5.45 am starts.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Waste industry experience is not required (but highly regarded).

Job description

• Permanent – Full-Time Position – Port Douglas, QLD
• Sunday to Thursday, early am starts
• Sunday work paid at double time
• Hourly rate of $34.39 per hour plus super
• Induction, training and uniforms provided

The Opportunity

Based at our Port Douglas depot, we are seeking an experienced HR Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a waste collection vehicle. This may include rear-lift, side-lift, and hook trucks (RORO), servicing our customers across the region.

About You

• Must be available for 4.45 - 5.45 am starts
• HR Licence as a minimum
• Good attitude, reliable, and willing to learn
• Willing to take a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test
• Waste industry experience is not required (highly regarded)
