Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver based in Townsville, QLD. You will operate front lift or hook lift collection vehicles, load and unload waste, and deliver to recycling or disposal facilities. A required HR Licence, police clearance, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

The Opportunity

Based out of our Townsville QLD depot, we are seeking experienced Truck Drivers / Heavy Vehicle Driver for work performing essential services throughout the region.

As a Multi System Driver you will be responsible for:

• Operating a range of collection vehicle either front lift or hook lift
• Perform loading and unloading duties of waste, material or consignments
• Delivering loads to nominated recycling and disposals facilities
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
• Maintaining presentation of the vehicle, inside and out

About You

• Hold an unrestricted HR Licence
• Possess a valid police clearance
• Waste industry experience preferred but not essential as we’ll support the right person to learn
• A collaborative team player who can also work independently
• Presentable, professional, and customer-focused
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn
• Open to building a long-term career with development opportunities
