Job summary

Coates Hire Operations Pty Limited is seeking a delivery and yard operator for our Brooklyn branch. You will be responsible for safe, on-time delivery and collection of equipment to varied site locations, and for securing loads for safe transport.

You will operate tilt trays and allied equipment (boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts) and perform general yard duties while upholding high safety standards and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• A valid heavy vehicle driver’s license (EWP over 11m, CN or TV, forklift licences are highly regarded)
• Experience loading and unloading equipment using correct restraint
• A clean driving record and a commitment to safety – you are an expert on the chain of responsibility.
• Adequate technology skills

Responsibilities

• Safe, professional and timely delivery/pick up of equipment to and from various site locations.
• Effectively secure freight load to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment storage and location to ensure efficient retrieval.
• Operate and manoeuvre equipment on and off a tilt tray e.g. boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, excavators, rollers.
• Perform general yard duties ensuring an organised and safe yard.

This role, based out of ourBrooklynbranch is often the face of Coates and requires exceptionalcustomer service and professionalism, as well as working to tight deadlines and ensuring and maintaining a high standard of safety.
