Job summary

Coates Hire Operations Pty Limited in Parkes, New South Wales, is seeking a fleet maintenance technician to join our team at the Parkes branch. You will perform preventative maintenance, servicing and overhauls of a variety of hire equipment, diagnosing faults and keeping accurate service records to minimise downtime.

The role is permanent full-time, with a Monday–Friday roster and a focus on keeping our fleet in prime condition for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills.
• Driver's licence (MR or HR preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics and preventative maintenance ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and overhaul of a range of plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
• Maintain records for all service and repair work.
• Minimise operational downtime of equipment.

Job description

Based at the Coates Parkes branch, you'll be keeping our fleet of hire equipment in prime condition and ready for the next customer.

Your typical day will focus on:

• Performing preventative maintenance, servicing and overhaul of a range of plant equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
• Maintaining records for all service and repair work
• Minimising operational downtime of equipment

What you’ll bring to the role
