Job summary

Coates Hire Operations Pty Limited in Townsville's Bohle branch seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to service and overhaul a wide range of hire equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults and keep precise service records to ensure equipment is ready for the next customer.

This permanent full-time role operates Mon-Fri with a 7am start. You’ll need petrol and diesel motor knowledge, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical skills, plus a current MR/HR license.

Qualifications

• Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical skills.
• Forklift and EWP tickets are beneficial.
• MR/HR license preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance, servicing and overhaul of a range of plant equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Maintaining records for all service and repair work.
• Minimising operational downtime of equipment.

Job description

Based at the Coates Bohle branch, you'll be keeping our fleet of hire equipment in prime condition and ready for the next customer.

Your typical day will focus on:

• Performing preventative maintenance, servicing and overhaul of a range of plant equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
• Maintaining records for all service and repair work
• Minimising operational downtime of equipment

What you’ll bring to the role
