Job summary

Coates is seeking a dedicated delivery/yard professional to ensure safe, timely movement of equipment from the Hume branch and to various sites. You will secure loads, manage equipment storage, and operate tilt trays and access equipment such as booms and forklifts. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Your role supports frontline delivery, yard organization, and adherence to site safety protocols while providing excellent customer service. Training and career progression are available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid heavy vehicle driver's license (EWP and tilt tray licences highly regarded).
• Experience loading/unloading equipment using correct restraint.
• Strong safety focus and knowledge of chain of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Safe, professional and timely delivery/pick up of equipment to/from site locations.
• Secure freight loads to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment storage and location for efficient retrieval.
• Operate and manoeuvre equipment on/off tilt tray (boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts).
• Perform general yard duties to keep the yard organized and safe.

• Monday to Friday roster, 7am start

This role, based out of our Hume branch is often the face of Coates and requires exceptional customer service and professionalism, as well as working to tight deadlines and ensuring and maintaining a high standard of safety.

• Safe, professional and timely delivery/pick up of equipment to and from various site locations.
• Effectively secure freight load to ensure successful delivery
• Maintain knowledge of equipment storage and location to ensure efficient retrieval.
• Operate and manoeuvre equipment on and off a tilt tray e.g. boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts
• Perform general yard duties ensuring an organised and safe yard

What you'll bring to the role
