Westgold Resources is seeking a hands-on Drill Fitter to support our Beta Hunt site in Kambalda, WA. The role focuses on fault diagnosis, maintenance and repair of underground drill rigs, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will work with a team that values proactive problem solving, precise CMMS documentation, and clear communication. Eligible for eight-on, six-off rosters and flexible FIFO/DIDO options plus residential options.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a Drill Fitter in underground mining.
• Proficiency with CMMS systems (Pronto preferred).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose fault, maintain and repair underground drill rigs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct regular inspections to prevent faults.
• Collaborate with maintenance to schedule repairs and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Assist installation/commissioning of new drilling equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines at all times.

THE ROLE

• Perform fault diagnosis, maintain and repair associated drill rigs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and prevent potential problems
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new drilling equipment
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times to promote a secure working environment

WHAT DO I NEED

• Current “C” Class Manual Western Australian driver’s licence
• Valid and relevant trade qualifications, certificates, and licences
• 4+ years experience in a Drill Fitter role within underground mining
• Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Pronto (desired)
• A can-do, team-oriented attitude
• Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
• Reasonable computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite
• Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
• Excellent communication skills
• A can-do, team-oriented attitude
