Job summary

NW Mining & Civil seeks a Dozer Operator for a tin mine project near Mount Garnet, Queensland. ASAP start with the initial tailings dam and production pit work planned for ~2.5 years. 12-hour casual shifts, Mon-Fri; meals and shared accommodation provided for locally based workers able to travel from Cairns/Innisfail/Atherton.

Experience on a D8 dozer is required; graders or diggers are a plus. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and clear communication on site.

Qualifications

• RII cert for Dozer is mandatory.
• Medical and D&A screening clearance required.
• Competent with computers to complete site online inductions.

Responsibilities

Job description

NW Mining & Civil are seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team as we commence the construction and operation of a tin mine near Mount Garnet.

Commencing ASAP, the initial stage of the work building a tailings dam and operating the production pit will run for approximately 2.5 years. Further work is expected to follow.

A position exists on a D8 dozer, additional skills operating graders or diggers would be an advantage. Experience constructing and maintaining tailings dams will be highly regarded.

Along with experience, your work ethic and safety attitude will be vital to the success of the project. You must be a team player, a great communicator and committed to the safety of yourself and everyone around you.

Roster will be Monday to Friday, working 12hr shifts. Local Mount Garnet applicants are preferred, meals and accommodation are provided for those able to BIBO from as far as Cairns/Innisfail/Atherton. Please note accommodation includes shared bathroom facilities.

Pay rate will be $55/hr flat as a casual employee.
