Job summary

Just Better Care is seeking entry-level staff to assist in-home aged care in the Wollondilly and Wingecaribee regions of New South Wales. Availability during the day is preferred and a reliable vehicle is required to travel to shifts.

You will support older clients with daily tasks, home care and companionship, using a mobile app for rostering and notes. This role offers above award pay and opportunities to join a supportive team with social events throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication.
• Reliable, able to commit to at least 3 days a week.
• Comfortable using technology (mobile app) for rostering and notes.
• Ability to drive self to shifts and build rapport with clients.

• Monitoring customer well-being and reporting progress.
• Provide updates on customer progress after each service.

Job description

We are looking for staff in the Wollondilly and Wingecaribee areas, with availability during the day.

The role is perfect for entry-level, with personal experience and transferrable skills also considered.

You will work with Aged Care customers needing support to maintain their home and independence.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Social support for older people who may be isolated
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
• Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you:

• Must be comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback
• Ability to drive self to shifts

What you will need:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to gain)
• Current First Aid certificate and CPR
• Current Australian Drivers License
• Reliable, registered, and comprehensive insured vehicle
