Job summary

We Care Staffing Solutions is seeking a casual home care worker to provide in-home support to clients across Coolmunda and surrounding suburbs. You will perform domestic assistance, meal prep, light cleaning, laundry and errands, visiting 1–3 clients with consistent routines.

Availability during weekdays 8:30am–4:00pm and two to three days per week is preferred. Applicants must be reliable, compassionate, and capable of following care plans with independence.

• Willingness to travel around surrounding suburbs and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation (simple, not full food service).
• Vacuuming and mopping floors in clients' homes.
• Light housekeeping tasks and laundry including ironing.
• Dishes and general cleaning of living spaces.
• Bed making and changing linens as needed.
• Internal window cleaning and occasional shopping/bill paying.

About the Role:

This is an ideal role for those wanting a little extra income or side hustle and helping the community out at the same time. You will be working regularly with 1-3 clients, in their homes, from 30min to hrs per visit, providing domestic assistance, completing duties such as:

• Meal preparation (not complete food service)
• Vacuuming and Mopping
• Light house cleaning
• Dishwashing
• Clothes and linen, washing and ironing
• Bed making.
• Internal window cleaning
• Unaccompanied shopping& bill paying

Clients like routine and get comfort out of seeing the same people at the same time, so you will be assigned specific clients, and providing the services at the same time either on a weekly or fortnightly rotation. Reliability is KEY.

Clients prefer their services between the hours of 8:30am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday, so the successful applicant must be available to pick up shifts during those hours. For flexibility, you must be available at least two to three days a week.

Capacity to perform personal home care tasks satisfactorily and within guidelines.

Ability to follow a care plan and task list for each client.

Traveling around surrounding suburbs is required

Australian Criminal History Checkno more than 12 months old.

Proof of Vaccination (COVID)

Clean, Reliable and insured car, and knowledge of the local area.
